Speed limit sign at mile marker 1.1. The speed limit on Interstate 380 North starts out at 65 mph, which is standard for most rural Interstates in Pennsylvania. At mile marker 9.8, the speed limit increases to 70 mph as this sign says. This next 13 miles of Interstate 380 North was one of three stretches of Interstate in Pennsylvania to see a 70 mph speed limit posted in July 2014, as part of a test program to see if a 70 mph speed limit could safely be applied to more Interstates in PA.(Photo taken 7/5/15).

At mile marker 23, the speed limit drops to 55 mph as you approach the junction of Interstate 84 (Exit 24). Oh well, the 70 mph speed limit was fun while it lasted, right? (Photo taken 7/5/15).
